For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Miguel Netto and I’m from Cape Town, South Africa.
For the past few years I have dedicated myself to qualify for the Ironman World Championships that takes place in Kona, Hawaii. On 7 April 2019, my lifelong dream finally became a reality as I earned my Kona slot to the start line on 12 October 2019.
In 2018, I missed my slot by 1 min at IronMan Argentina and had to regain my focus and try again in April 2019 at the African Championships in South Africa. I qualified with a time of 09:07:21, placing 6th in my age group 30-34.
Ironman has been my passion for many years. I have competed in 9 full ironman events and its very fitting that taking part in Kona World Championship will be my 10th. If you are able to help out in any way financially, it would be very helpful, and greatly appreciated! I am fundraising to cover the following expenses:
Flights + Visas
Accommodation / House share
Bike Transportation Fees
Entry fee
Transport (Car hire) on the Island
Adhoc: Travel Insurance, Bike bag

Being located so far away and taking place on the most popular weekend of the year in Kona, flights and accommodation are extremely pricey and that’s why I need your support for this dream of mine and once in a life time opportunity.
